Quick explanation
The coat of arms of Saxony is image 4.
Why is this correct?
It shows black and gold stripes with a green diagonal crown of rue.
Background
Every federal state has its own coat of arms. The coat of arms of Saxony shows black and gold stripes with a green diagonal crown of rue. You can see it, for example, on public buildings, on state documents and on the state flag. Saxony lies in eastern Germany and borders Poland and the Czech Republic. It is one of the five states that joined the Federal Republic in 1990. Around 4.0 million people live in Saxony.
Why are the other answers wrong?
The other images show other coats of arms that do not belong to Saxony. For the test it is worth looking closely at your own state’s coat of arms – this question appears for every state.
