Quick explanation
Saxony has no foreign minister.
Why is this correct?
Under the Basic Law, foreign policy is a federal task.
Background
The government of Saxony consists of the Minister-President and several state ministers, for example for the interior, justice, finance, education, economic affairs or social affairs. Relations with other countries, however, are the responsibility of the federation (Articles 32 and 73 of the Basic Law) – through the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. The states may only cooperate with other countries to a limited extent, for example with partner regions.
Why are the other answers wrong?
Saxony does have ministers of justice, finance and the interior: they are responsible for courts and prisons, the state budget, and the police and administration.
Memory tip
Foreign policy = federation. No state has a foreign minister.
