Quick explanation
The picture shows the seat of the Bundestag in Berlin, the Reichstag building.
Why is this correct?
You can recognise it by its glass dome and the inscription “Dem deutschen Volke” (To the German people).
Background
The Bundestag meets in the Reichstag building in Berlin. The building was completed in 1894, burned in 1933 and was badly damaged in the Second World War. After reunification it was rebuilt and given the walk-in glass dome designed by the architect Norman Foster. The Bundestag has worked here since 1999. Above the entrance it says “Dem deutschen Volke” – a reminder that parliament serves the people.
Why are the other answers wrong?
The Federal Constitutional Court is in Karlsruhe, in a low, modern building. The Bundesrat meets in the former Prussian House of Lords in Berlin, and the Federal Chancellery is a modern concrete and glass building opposite the Reichstag.
Memory tip
Glass dome = Reichstag = Bundestag.
