The correct answer is:
an evening high school.
einem Abendgymnasium.
Independent study resource, not a BAMF website. Translations are study aids; the exam is in German.
Quick explanation
An adult woman can take the Abitur later at an evening grammar school (Abendgymnasium).
Why is this correct?
Evening grammar schools are schools for adults who want to obtain the Abitur alongside their job.
Background
At an evening grammar school, lessons usually take place in the evening so that students can keep working during the day. Those who want to focus fully on school can attend a “Kolleg”, where classes are held during the day. The requirement is usually completed vocational training or several years of work experience. State evening grammar schools and Kollegs charge no school fees, and under certain conditions students can receive BAföG funding. So it is never too late for a higher school qualification.
Why are the other answers wrong?
You can only study at a university or private university after the Abitur – you cannot take it there. The Hauptschule leads to the lower secondary certificate, not the Abitur.
Memory tip
Catching up on the Abitur: evening grammar school (evenings) or Kolleg (daytime).
