Quick explanation

She may be able to take the theory test for the driving licence in her mother tongue.

Why is this correct?

Besides German, the theory test is offered in more than ten foreign languages.

Background

In Germany, the theory test can be taken in languages including English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Polish, Romanian, Croatian, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French. The questions are asked on a computer. Anyone who already has a driving licence from another country may be able to have it converted: EU licences are valid directly, while many other foreign licences are valid for six months after registering in Germany and must then be converted.

Why are the other answers wrong?

There is no minimum period of ten years in Germany. A driving licence does not depend on knowledge of German. And you do not have to go to another country – the test can be taken in Germany in many languages.

Memory tip

Theory test: also in many foreign languages.
