Independent study resource, not a BAMF website. Translations are study aids; the exam is in German.
Quick explanation
German citizens must take on the voluntary role of election worker if asked to do so.
Why is this correct?
Serving on the electoral board is a civic duty; you may only refuse for important reasons.
Background
For elections to work, hundreds of thousands of election workers are needed each time. Most volunteer, but municipalities may also require eligible voters to serve (Section 11 of the Federal Elections Act). You can refuse, for example, due to illness, caring for children or relatives, or if you are over 65. Anyone who fails to appear without good reason can be fined. A similar duty exists for serving as a lay judge in court.
Why are the other answers wrong?
You can become a club coach, library supervisor or teacher voluntarily; the state does not oblige anyone to do so. Teachers also practise a profession, not a voluntary role.
Memory tip
Compulsory volunteer role: election worker (and lay judge).
Legal basis: Sec. 11 Federal Elections Act ↗
